Seminar on “Stability Studies for Formulation”
The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur, successfully organized a Seminar on “Stability Studies for Formulation” on 23rd May 2026 at 11:00 AM with the objective of enhancing students’ understanding of the importance of stability studies in pharmaceutical formulation development and quality assurance.
The seminar was delivered by Mrs. V. Soumyalata, Associate Professor, Vivekanand College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru. The programme commenced with a warm welcome and introduction of the resource person in the presence of faculty members and students.
During the session, the resource person explained the fundamental concepts of stability studies in pharmaceutical formulations and highlighted their significance in ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical products. The lecture provided valuable insights into various aspects of stability testing, including factors affecting drug stability, storage conditions, degradation mechanisms, and regulatory requirements followed in pharmaceutical industries.
The speaker further discussed different types of stability studies such as Accelerated Stability Studies, Long-Term Stability Studies, and Real-Time Stability Testing, emphasizing their role in determining shelf life, packaging suitability, and product performance. The session also covered practical applications of stability studies in formulation development and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The seminar was highly informative and interactive, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of stability assessment and its importance in the development of quality pharmaceutical products. Participants actively engaged in the discussion and clarified their queries regarding formulation stability and analytical considerations.
The programme concluded successfully with active participation from faculty members and students. The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry expressed sincere gratitude to the management, principal, resource person, faculty members, and students for their valuable support and cooperation in making the seminar a success.
