Mental Health Awareness Programme on “Burnout Management at Workplace”
The Department of Pharmacognosy in association with NSS organized a Mental Health Awareness Programme on the topic “Burnout Management at Workplace” on 9th May 2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among students and faculty regarding mental health, stress management, and the importance of maintaining emotional well-being in professional life.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. N. H. Joshi, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacognosy and NSS Programme Officer, who welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. H. Doddayya, Principal, N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur, who emphasized the importance of mental health awareness and encouraged students to maintain a healthy balance between academic and personal life.
The Chief Guest and resource person, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Professor & Head, Department of Psychiatry, NMCH & RC, delivered an insightful session on “Burnout Management at Workplace.” He explained the causes, symptoms, and preventive strategies related to burnout and stress at the workplace. The session highlighted the significance of mental well-being, stress coping mechanisms, work-life balance, and seeking timely support for mental health concerns. The session was highly interactive and informative for the participants.
Prof. Ratan Chawan, Navodaya College of Education, graced the programme as Guest of Honour and highlighted the importance of mental health awareness and the need to remove stigma associated with mental health issues. He motivated the students to prioritize emotional wellness along with academic and professional growth.
The programme witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, making the event meaningful and impactful. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Revana Siddappa, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy, N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur, who expressed gratitude to the management, dignitaries, organizers, and participants for making the programme successful.
