A special seminar on “Drug Compendia: Pharmacopoeia, Formularies and Pharmaceutical Codex” was organized by the Department of Pharmaceutics, N.E.T Pharmacy College, on 27th April 2026 at 03:00 PM.

The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of official drug standards, regulatory references, and their practical applications in pharmaceutical practice.

The program commenced with anchoring by Ms. Shruthi, M.Pharm Student who efficiently coordinated the flow of events. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Rohit Bhandari, Lecturer who greeted the gathering and highlighted the importance of drug compendia in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of medicines.

The seminar was presided over by President Dr. H. Doddayya, Principal whose presence added value and encouragement to the academic initiative. The convenor of the program was Dr. Pradnya Patil, Associate professor who played a key role in organizing the event. The session was delivered by Mr. Vishwanath H. A., Lecturer, Department of Pharmaceutics, who also served as the program coordinator. He provided detailed insights into pharmacopoeias, formularies, and pharmaceutical codices, explaining their structure, purpose and significance in maintaining drug standards.

The session was interactive, with active participation from students and faculty members. The program concluded with an assessment conducted to evaluate participants’ understanding of the topic. Feedback was collected from attendees, which indicated that the seminar was informative, well-organized and beneficial for academic and professional development.
