World Epilepsy Day 2026 – “Turning Stories Into Action.”
The Department of Pharmacy Practice, N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized a World Epilepsy Day 2026 awareness program on 9 February 2026. The theme of the program was “Turning Stories Into Action.”
The program featured a guest lecture on “Emerging Trends in the Management of Epilepsy” delivered by Dr. N. Nagadeepthi, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy Practice, N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur. The lecture highlighted recent advances in epilepsy management, including precision medicine, advanced neuromodulation, digital health technologies, and novel therapeutic approaches. The session provided valuable clinical insights into current and future treatment strategies.
The program was graced by the presence of Mr. Narasimhachar Joshi, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacognosy, Mr. Binu K.M, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, and Dr. Syed Mohammed, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy Practice, along with faculty members and students of B.Pharm, Pharm.D, and Pharm.D interns.
As part of student activities, Pharm.D fourth-year students presented an engaging session on epilepsy myths and facts, aimed at improving awareness and reducing stigma. They also screened an informative video presentation demonstrating first-aid measures and immediate actions to be taken during an epileptic seizure, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The program was informative and interactive, successfully creating awareness about epilepsy, its management, and the importance of timely intervention. The event concluded with active participation and positive feedback from students and faculty members. Dr. Divyasree, lecturer Department of Pharmacy Practice coordinated the program.
