Valedictory Function – 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week

The valedictory function of the 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week was held on 23rd September 2025 at the AV Room, Central Library, N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur, under the banner of Navodaya Education Trust.

The week-long celebration was conducted under the national theme:
“Your Safety, Just a Click Away: Report to PvPI.”

The program marked the successful completion of a series of academic, training, and outreach activities that enriched students, healthcare professionals, and the community with knowledge and awareness of pharmacovigilance.

Programme Proceedings

• The event commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries on the dais.

• Dr. H. Doddayya, Principal, N.E.T Pharmacy College, presided over the function as President.

• The occasion was graced by:

  • Prof. Hetzy Suthana Kumari, Principal, Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur – Chief Guest

  • Dr. Mudgal Shankarappa, Professor & Head, Department of General Medicine and Deputy Co-ordinator, AMC, NMCH & RC, Raichur – Guest of Honour

• The convener of the program was Mr. Binu K M, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, N.E.T Pharmacy College.

• The program began with a soulful invocation song by Ms. Pragathi and Ms. Shradha, followed by a heartfelt welcome address delivered by Mrs. Deepali Patil, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, N.E.T Pharmacy College.

Addresses

• The Chief Guest, Prof. Hetzy Suthana Kumari, congratulated the college for conducting an inspiring and impactful Pharmacovigilance Week. She praised the active involvement of students and faculty members in spreading awareness on the importance of drug safety.

• Presidential Remarks were delivered by Dr. H. Doddayya, who highlighted the dedicated efforts of various committees and coordinators in organizing diverse activities throughout the week, ensuring its grand success.

Certificates were presented to the coordinators of different events:

• Dr. Naga Deepti, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy Practice – Essay Writing Competition

Prizes were then distributed to all the winners and participants of the week’s competitions.

Conclusion

• Following the prize distribution, Mr. Binu K M delivered the concluding remarks, providing a comprehensive overview of the events held throughout the week and appreciating the collective enthusiasm of students and faculty members.

• The celebration concluded with a video presentation capturing the highlights of the 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week, followed by the National Anthem and fellowship over high tea.

The valedictory function was a befitting conclusion to a week filled with knowledge-sharing, hands-on training, competitions, and community engagement, reaffirming the commitment of N.E.T Pharmacy College towards promoting pharmacovigilance and patient safety.
