N.E.T. Pharmacy College Conducts Six-Day AI Workshop for Future Pharma Professionals
Demonstrating its commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and future-ready education, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur, successfully concluded the Six-Day Immersive Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence in Pharma Career” with a grand Valedictory Function held on 6th June 2026 at the Central Library AV Hall.
The workshop was conducted from 1st to 6th June 2026 under the expert mentorship of Dr. Uma Desu, Chief AI Officer – GenAI Pioneer, Hyderabad, a distinguished AI professional with over 28 years of industry experience. The valedictory function was graced by Dr. V. Rama Mohan Gupta, Director – Academic Development & Research, NET, Raichur; Prof. C. Suresh Babu, Director Administration, NET, Raichur; and Dr. H. Doddayya, Principal, N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur.
Over six intensive days, students received hands-on training, industry exposure, and professional certifications in cutting-edge domains including AI in Healthcare, Generative AI, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, Microsoft Healthcare Solutions, Databricks Generative AI Fundamentals, Vision Language Models (VLM), Data Science & Analytics, Automation Technologies, and OpenCV. In addition, participants completed several advanced certified modules and practical assignments designed to bridge the gap between pharmaceutical education and emerging digital healthcare technologies.
A key achievement of the workshop was its emphasis on hands-on learning. Students gained practical experience with AI tools, healthcare applications, and automation platforms, developing industry-relevant skills for careers in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and digital health.
The workshop culminated in the presentation of 15 innovative Artificial Intelligence-based projects developed entirely by students. These projects addressed real-world challenges in healthcare delivery, patient monitoring, pharmaceutical operations, regulatory compliance, and laboratory management.

1. Hospital Command Center (AI-Based Hospital Operations and Resource Management System)

2. Vital Guard AI (AI-Powered Patient Monitoring and Early Warning System)
Students: Lohith B. (M.Pharm IV Semester), Nagaraj Basappa Amblikoppa (M.Pharm IV Semester), and Praveen Kumar (B.Pharm VIII Semester)
3. Lab Guard (AI-Based Laboratory Safety Monitoring and Management System)
Students: Saif Ali (B.Pharm IV Semester), Pavan Kumar (B.Pharm IV Semester), Rohith Gouda (B.Pharm IV Semester), and Rohit Patil (B.Pharm IV Semester)
4. AI Product Label Generator (Automated Pharmaceutical Label Generation Using Artificial Intelligence)
Students: Bushra (B.Pharm VIII Semester) and Sadiya (B.Pharm VIII Semester)
5. AI in Regulatory Gap Analysis (AI-Assisted Regulatory Compliance and Gap Identification System)
Students: Mariya (B.Pharm VIII Semester), Shwetha (B.Pharm VIII Semester), and Misba (B.Pharm VIII Semester)
6. Ambulance Emergency Treatment and Blood Management
Students: Suhana, Shardha, and Saif Ali (B.Pharm IV Semester)
In a remarkable achievement for the institution, all 15 project teams will represent N.E.T. Pharmacy College at the prestigious National Level Ideathon 5.0 – Life Sciences & AI Health Devices, to be held at CBIT, Hyderabad, in August 2026. Healthcare AI hackathons and ideathons are increasingly recognized as platforms that help students transform innovative ideas into practical healthcare solutions while enhancing employability and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Uma Desu highly appreciated the enthusiasm, discipline, and commitment shown by the participants throughout the workshop. He observed that many students displayed exceptional passion for learning and actively engaged in project development beyond scheduled sessions. He praised the quality of the projects and encouraged students to continue building expertise in Artificial Intelligence, healthcare innovation, and digital transformation. He further emphasized that AI-skilled healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals will be among the most sought-after talents in the coming years.
Dr. V. Rama Mohan Gupta congratulated the students on their outstanding achievement and emphasized that N.E.T. Pharmacy College is committed to providing industry-relevant education that prepares graduates for future healthcare challenges. He highlighted that the successful completion of multiple certifications, hands-on training programs, and innovative projects reflects the institution’s vision of nurturing globally competent pharmacy professionals.
Prof. C. Suresh Babu appreciated the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry for organizing a pioneering initiative that exposed students to emerging technologies and innovation-driven learning. He noted that such programs significantly enhance students’ employability, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.
Dr. H. Doddayya congratulated the participants for successfully completing the workshop and encouraged them to continue exploring technological innovations that can transform healthcare and pharmaceutical services.

As a mark of appreciation, Dr. Uma Desu was felicitated by the dignitaries for his outstanding contribution to student skill development and AI education. Participation certificates were distributed to all students who successfully completed the workshop and certification programs.
