Seminar on “Fundamentals and Pharmacological Principles of Ayurveda” Conducted at N.E.T. Pharmacy College

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a seminar on “Fundamentals and Pharmacological Principles of Ayurveda” on 8th May 2026 at 11:00 AM.

The seminar aimed to provide students with knowledge about the basic concepts of Ayurveda and its pharmacological principles, along with their relevance in modern healthcare and pharmaceutical sciences.

The resource person for the session was Dr. Elleri Anup Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Dravyaguna Vijyan, Poornima Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre. He delivered an informative and insightful lecture on the foundational principles of Ayurveda, medicinal plants, pharmacological aspects of Ayurvedic formulations, and the scientific significance of traditional medicine systems.

During the session, Dr. Anup Kumar explained the importance of Dravyaguna Vijyan in understanding the therapeutic properties of herbal medicines and highlighted the integration of Ayurvedic principles with contemporary healthcare practices. The seminar also emphasized the growing scope of Ayurveda in research and pharmaceutical development.
