The department conducts classes for Pharm.D and Pharm.D (PB) students. The department is involved in ward round participation in our 1000 bedded Navodaya Medical College Hospitals & Research Center, drug and poison information services, adverse drug reaction monitoring and reporting, patient counseling, conducting continuing education programmes for the hospital and community pharmacists.

  • Organized a guest lecture on “Clinical Research – Career & Scope” in the AV Hall of central library on 11th April 2019. Sri Mahesh Silveri, Director, XCEL Career Institute, Hyderabad, Telangana was the chief guest & resource person.
  • Our Pharm.D Alumni, Rangpinar Nonglait, Clinical Pharmacologist, Jupiter Hospital, Thane, presented guest lecture on “Role of Clinical Pharmacist in hospital” on 12th December 2019.
  • Our Pharm.D Alumni, Pratyusha Nutakki, Registered Pharmacist in USA, presented guest lecture on “How to register as a Pharmacist in USA and graduates in USA” on 14th December 2019.
  • All Pharm.D Interns attended Guest Lecture on “Stress Management for Pharmacy students” by Dr. Sunil Kumar, Asso. Prof., Dept. of Psychiatry, NMC on 24th September 2019 organized by NSS unit of NETPC one the eve of NSS day celebrations..
  • Organized two days National Workshop on “Current perspectives on Pharmacovigilance & Haemovigilance”in association with Southern regional training center, PvPI & RGUHS on 28th& 29th September 2018.
  • Organized Workshop on “Clinical Pharmacy Skills Development”for Pharm.D interns & fifth year students on 13th October 2018.
  • World Health Day celebrations jointly organized by NETPC & Dept. of Community medicine, NMC in association with NSS unit of NETPC on 7th April 2018 at AV room of central library.
  • Pharm.D interns actively participated in NSS Health camp organized at Navodaya Urban Health center, Raichur by NSS unit of NETPC during World Health Day celebrations on 9th April 2018.
  • All staff members of department along with 23 Pharm.D Interns attended “IAP Basic Life Support training workshop”organized by IAP CPR training center, NMCH & RC on 28thAugust 2018.
  • Organized guest lecture on “Awareness of Eye Donation” by Dr. K. Pranati, In-charge, Navodaya Eye Bank for Pharm.D interns & Students on 30th August 2018.
  • Dr. Shiv Kumar delivered special lecture on “Role of Pharmacist in Public Health” during World Health Day celebrations jointly organized by NETPC & Dept. of Community medicine, NMC in association with NSS unit of NETPC on 7th April 2018 at AV room of central library
  • The department of Pharmacy Practice has organized a guest lecture “Good clinical Practice & Schedule Y” on 28th December 2022 in Audio Visual room of digital library. Dr. Santosh Kumar Jeevangi, Prof.  & Head, M.R. Medical College, Kalaburgi acted as resource person.
  • It was a great opportunity for us to attend National seminar on KEY CONCEPTS IN
    SELECTION OF DRUG THERAPY held on 5 th November 2019 in H.K.E’s Basaveshwar Teaching and General Hospital, Kalaburgi, Karnataka.

  • N.E.T Pharmacy College in association with Aficionado Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bangalore has organized “Online Career Counseling Workshop on MEDICAL CODING” on 13th September 2022 for Pharm.D & B.Pharm students. Ms Samaira Kaur speaker, Aficionado Technologies Pvt Ltd delivered a brain storming interactive session. The workshop mainly focused on the opportunities for B.Pharm & Pharm.D students in Medical Coding. Thereafter the session was open for interaction with students. The queries asked by the students were answered in a very informative manner. The B.Pharm 8th Semester, PharmD fifth year students & Pharm.D Interns were actively participated in workshop. The online workshop was very informative and beneficial for the upcoming Pharmacy graduates.   • Three Pharm.D students, Ms. Ishita Bhandari, Ms. Stephy Varghese & Ms. Midhunya received UG research Grants of Rs. 15,000/- each from RGUHS, to carryout research projects under the guidance of Dr. RH Udupi, Mr. Binu KM & Mrs. Nimmy John respectively.

  • The Drug Information Center of the department is publishing “Drug Information Bulletin”, a monthly Drug Newsletter & circulated to all the clinical departments of our hospital.
  • Pharmacist Day was celebrated on 25th September 2019.
  • The department newsletter Navodaya’s Pharma Focus Volume V (3 issues) were released.
  • Course Induction Program was conducted for Pharm.D, Pharm.D (PB), M.Pharm, B.Pharm and D.Pharm freshers on 7th August 2019 at Dr. CM Gurumurthy Hall, NET Campus, Raichur.
  • Mrs, Sravanthy Reddy, Pharm.D intern received “Best Poster Award” for the scientific presentation entitled “Drug related problems in type 2 diabetes mellitus with hypertension patients” at 3rd Convention of the Indian Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and Indian Congress of Pharmacy Practice held at Hyderabad on 28th & 29th April 2018.
