National Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025 – “Cyber Jagrit Bharat”
The Department of Pharmacy Practice, N.E.T Pharmacy College, organized an awareness session on National Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025 under the national theme “Cyber Jagrit Bharat” on 25th October 2025 at the AV Room, Central Library.
The event aimed to educate students and faculty members about online safety, data privacy, and responsible digital behavior, emphasizing the growing importance of cyber security in modern healthcare and education.
Dignitaries and Inaugural Address
The program began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries —
Dr. Chandramouli, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry;
Mr. Shinavand M. R., Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry;
Mrs. Aparna Laxmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology; and
Dr. Aishwarya, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy Practice.
The session was efficiently anchored by Ms. Sivapriya, who kept the audience engaged throughout the program.
Awareness and Learning Session
Dr. Chandramouli inaugurated the session by sharing his insights on the importance of cyber awareness in protecting personal and institutional data. He encouraged students to be alert, responsible, and proactive digital citizens.
Dr. Aishwarya, the resource person, delivered an interactive and informative presentation highlighting real-life cyber threats, safe browsing practices, and the role of cyber hygiene in protecting sensitive information. She discussed phishing, password safety, and online frauds, helping participants relate cyber safety to daily life scenarios.
Student Participation and Impact
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from B.Pharm, D.Pharm, and Pharm.D (First Year and Interns) along with faculty members.
Students shared their experiences, asked insightful questions, and pledged to spread cyber awareness among peers.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks and group photographs, marking a successful culmination of the awareness event under the “Cyber Jagrit Bharat” initiative.
