The NIT Library is housed in an independent building spread across two floors with a reading area that can accommodate over 100+ Readers. Its collection, development policies and information services are mandated by the Institute’s teaching objectives system.
A library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material, and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both. A library’s collection can include books, newspapers, CDs, DVDs, e-books, databases, and other formats.
The newly established state-of-the-art Library occupies a place of pride in Navodaya and is an essential component of the institute’s quality outstanding education mission. It is a most sparkling place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge, and promotes discovery and scholarship. The Library facilitates creation of new knowledge through acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge resources and providing for value added services. Our central library functions round the clock for the benefit of the students, faculty and the research scholars.  The central library is unique in entire North Karnataka equipped with all the modern technology and will be providing various library services of International standards. The library has open access, with latest automation facilities for hassle free issue and return of books, with separate reading rooms for undergraduate, post graduate and faculty members, stacking room with capacity of 12,000 books, digital libraries, and One well established conference hall.
