N.E.T. Pharmacy College Faculty Win Prizes at ICSSR-Sponsored National Seminar
It is a matter of immense pride for N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur, that two faculty members from the Department of Pharmacology brought laurels to the institution by securing prizes in the e-Poster Presentation at the ICSSR-Sponsored Two-Day National Seminar on “Integrating AYUSH with Community Medicine: A Framework for Holistic and Sustainable Public Health”, held on 7th–8th September 2026 at Mohan Babu University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The seminar was organized by the MB School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mohan Babu University, with the support of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
Mrs. Aparna Lakshmi, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, secured the Second Prize in the e-Poster Presentation for her research work entitled “Evaluating the Antidiabetic Activity of Centella asiatica Leaves in Glucose-Induced Agar Lens Model.” Her research highlighted the potential antidiabetic activity of Centella asiatica and its relevance to pharmacological and AYUSH-based research. Her recognition at the national seminar reflects her commitment to research and academic excellence.
Similarly, Mr. Manjunath C.J., Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, secured the Third Prize in the e-Poster Presentation for his research work entitled “Phytochemical Profiling & In-vitro Evaluation of Antiinflammatory Potential of Annona cherimola Mill. Leaves.” His work focused on the phytochemical investigation and evaluation of the potential biological activity of Annona cherimola leaves, contributing to the exploration of medicinal plants and their therapeutic potential.
The achievements of Mrs. Aparna Lakshmi and Mr. Manjunath C.J. are a significant recognition of the research capabilities and academic contributions of the faculty of N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur. The Management, Principal, faculty members and students congratulated both faculty members for their outstanding achievements at the national-level seminar and appreciated their continued efforts towards research, innovation, evidence-based pharmacology and sustainable healthcare.
