The Course Induction Programme for the new academic session was held on 9th October 2025 at Dr. S. R. Hegde Hall, organized by N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur. The event began at 10:00 a.m. with great enthusiasm and an atmosphere of academic celebration. More than 70 newly admitted students, accompanied by their parents, attended the programme, marking the commencement of the 33rd batch of B.Pharm and D.Pharm, and the 17th batch of Pharm.D courses.
The ceremony commenced with a traditional Saraswathi Puja, invoking the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswathi for wisdom and learning. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed onto the dais. The event was presided over by Dr. H. Doddayya, Principal, N.E.T Pharmacy College. The occasion was graced by Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, Navodaya Education Trust, as the Chief Guest; Mr. Umesh Setty, Senior Vice President in Consulting Role, HCG Global Life Sciences, Bengaluru, as the Distinguished Guest; and Prof. C. Suresh Babu (Director – Administration, Navodaya Education Trust) and Dr. P. Vijay Kumar (Director – IP&S&A, Navodaya Education Trust) as the Guests of Honour. The programme was convened by Dr. Chandramouli, Professor & Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Following the auspicious beginning, Dr. Divyashree, Lecturer Department of Pharmacy Practice, presented a soulful Invocation Song, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. Dr. T. Shivraj Gouda, Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacology, extended a warm Welcome Address, greeting the guests, faculty, students, and parents, and highlighting the institution’s commitment to nurturing professionalism, ethics, and excellence.
The Lamp Lighting Ceremony by the dignitaries symbolized the enlightenment that education brings. Mr. Manjunath C. J., Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, introduced the Chief Guest, Distinguished Guest, and Guests of Honour, acknowledging their remarkable professional achievements and contributions to the fields of education, research, and healthcare.
In his inspiring Address, Dr. T. Srinivas encouraged students to cultivate discipline, dedication, and curiosity throughout their academic journey. He emphasized the importance of innovation and ethics in shaping the future of pharmacy. The Distinguished Guest, Mr. Umesh Setty, delivered a motivating speech that drew from his vast industry experience, urging students to explore new horizons in the global pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
Dr. Chandramouli then gave an insightful introduction to the D.Pharm, B.Pharm, and Pharm.D programmes, explaining their curriculum structure, objectives, and career opportunities. Mrs. Aparna Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology briefed the audience on the College Rules and Regulations, emphasizing discipline, punctuality, and respect as cornerstones of student life.
The Presidential Remarks by Dr. H. Doddayya were both motivational and visionary. He urged students to uphold the values of hard work, integrity, and continuous learning, reminding them that pharmacy is a noble profession built on service and compassion. The institution took pride in felicitating Mr. Umesh Setty as a token of appreciation for his valuable presence and words of wisdom.
The event proceeded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Pradnya B. Patil, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and students for their support and active participation. A Video Presentation showcasing the Institutional Activities provided an engaging overview of the college’s achievements, academic excellence, and vibrant campus life.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, filling the hall with patriotic fervor and unity. The Induction Programme not only marked the beginning of a new academic journey but also reflected the institution’s unwavering dedication to quality education and holistic student development. It was indeed a memorable day that welcomed the next generation of pharmacists into the proud legacy of N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur.
