Guest Lecture on “The Power of Pharm D: Advancing Safe and Rational Use”

The Department of Pharmacy Practice, N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur, organized a Guest Lecture on “The Power of Pharm D: Advancing Safe and Rational Use” on 27th September 2025 at the AV Room, Central Library.

The session was delivered by Dr. Vithya Tirumoorthy, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, who served as the esteemed resource person.

The program commenced with anchoring by Ms. Siva Priya, followed by a warm welcome and introduction of the guest by Mrs. Aparna Laxmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology.

Dr. Vithya Tirumoorthy presented an insightful and engaging lecture highlighting the vital role of Pharm D professionals in ensuring safe and rational medicine use. She emphasized the importance of clinical pharmacy services, rational prescribing practices, and the contribution of Pharm D graduates in advancing healthcare systems.

At the conclusion of the session, Mr. Binu K. M., Associate Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, honored the speaker with a Certificate of Appreciation.

The lecture was attended by Pharm D students, B. Pharm students, and Pharm D interns, who actively participated and appreciated the interactive nature of the program.
