On 1st September 2025 at 3:00 PM, a practical demonstration session on various injection techniques was organized for the Diploma in Pharmacy, 2nd Year students of N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur at the Navodaya College of Nursing. The session was conducted by Professor Jyothi, who provided a comprehensive explanation along with live demonstrations of different routes of drug administration using a mannequin.
The techniques covered during the session included Intravenous (IV), Intramuscular (IM), Subcutaneous (SC), Intrathecal, and Intradermal injections. Each method was carefully explained in terms of its clinical significance, procedure, and safety measures. Students gained a deeper understanding of how these routes are employed in real healthcare settings.
The session was highly interactive, as students were not only given theoretical explanations but also encouraged to practice the techniques on the mannequin under the professor’s supervision. This hands-on experience enabled them to build confidence, sharpen their technical skills, and bridge the gap between classroom learning and clinical practice.
The program was attended by students of D. Pharm 2nd Year, accompanied by Dr. N. Nagadeepthi and Mr. Rohit Bandari, staff members of N.E.T Pharmacy College. The session proved to be an enriching and insightful learning experience, equipping students with essential practical skills that will greatly benefit their future roles as healthcare professionals.
