Navodaya Education Trust ® has established 10 educational institutions in Raichur, Karnataka. The institute was flagged off in 1992, with 50 students and today 3000 students pursue their dreams with us in different streams. Today the trust runs Medical, Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Biotechnology, Education institutions with more than 40 courses and Public School.
In the coming years, the institute will also offer a wide range of training and research programs. A number of new facilities have been created including additional areas for teaching, research laboratories, lecture theatres, a sports complex, a cultural centre and food courts in our campus. Hostel accommodation for students is being created on the campus. The Resource Centre (Central Library) with mammoth style is also under construction.
The 911-bedded state-of-the-art Navodaya Medical College hospital & Research Centre caters to urban and rural population in the Raichur district of Karnataka. It provides for free outpatient and subsidized inpatient treatment for the needy and poor patients as well as for senior citizens. The hospital, the only such comprehensive health care institution in the region, has been in existence for about 10 years and has proved its worth by saving numerous lives of victims. NMCH&RC currently offers tertiary level healthcare facilities including multi-specialties like orthopedics, surgery, pediatrics, nephrology and gastroenterology.
It has on board 300 consultants across various specializations. The total staff strength is about 1,000, including paramedical and other support staff. NMCH&RC also provides free and subsidized outpatient and inpatient treatment for the poor. NMCH&RC is recognized for its post-graduate program, leading to post-graduate degrees & post graduate diplomas in various specialties awarded by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. Since its inception, NMCH&RC has completed more than 100 clinical / scientific research projects, including many multi-disciplinary ones.
Our research papers have also been presented at various national and international conferences based on its research projects. These research projects are selected carefully with an aim to undertake community-based studies that are relevant to society.
